MMU has a policy to provide worldwide travel insurance for members of staff travelling on University business, and for students travelling in connection with their course or on an approved University trip. You must complete the online travel insurance form to register for travel insurance and should do this at least two weeks before your departure date.
Before booking your travel you should read the University's Guidance on International Travel.
Please contact the Insurance Officer if the following applies:
You are reminded that you must visit the Foreign Commonwealth Office website (www.fco.gov.uk) and check your destination prior to booking and again before travel. If travel is advised against then you must seek approval from the Insurance Officer and the trip organiser (for students) or your line manager (for staff) prior to travel.
You must check the risk rating of your destination using the WorldAware website (https://www.worldaware.com/affiliates/marsh). You will need to register using password 7228.
