Scholarships, Bursaries and Student Support

Manchester Met offers a variety of scholarships, discounts and awards to support you in your studies.

Undergraduate Students

If you are a new undergraduate student in 2017/18, you can find full details of all awards available to you at our Money Matters website.

2017/18 first year students may be eligible for our Student Support Package (UK students only) and/or Academic Achievement Bursary.

If you started your course in 2016/17, are now progressing into your second year, and you otherwise remain eligible for the Student Support Package, you will receive a further £1,000 in 2017/18.

If you started your course in 2015/16, are now progressing into your third year, and you otherwise remain eligible for the Student Support Package, you will receive a further £1,000 in 2017/18.

Postgraduate Students

International Students

Manchester Met offers a number of Vice-Chancellor Scholarships worth £5000 to be put towards the cost of your tuition fees. Full details and the application form can be found at the International website.

The Manchester Met International Office also offer certain country-specific scholarships and discounts. To see if your country is eligible, please select your country at this link.

Other Manchester Met Scholarships and Bursaries

Care Leavers Bursary

Care leavers at Manchester Met can also apply for an additional cash bursary of £1000 per year.

Sports Scholarships

Our Sport Scholarship programme supports talented athletes from a variety of sporting backgrounds as they combine a demanding training and competition programme with study for a world-class degree.

Manchester School of Art credit

If you are studying on a course in The Manchester School of Art, we will credit your met card with up to £200 to help you to cover the additional costs of materials associated with art and design practice based courses.
